Guide to the Best Skills in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Part 2

Best Skills in Assassins creed

Welcome back to our guide to the best skills in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This is the second part so if you haven’t read the previous article, we recommend you do so as we go through how to unlock skills as well as the best skills to pick up from the Bear Skills tree.

In this part of the guide, we explore the other two skills trees in the game, Raven Skills and Wolf Skills.

Raven Skills (Yellow)

This is the skill tree that puts the “assassin” into Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Acquiring Raven Skills means you’ll be enhancing your capabilities as a master of stealth and assassination. If you like mixing some trickery into your playstyle, then you’ll surely want the goods this side of the skill tree has to offer.

Let’s start with what is hands down the best skill in the entire game, Brush With Death. By taking a downward path from Dual Swap (Bear Skills tree), you’ll spiral into this amazing ability which will make you that much more of a fearsome adversary. What this does is add a slight slow effect when you successfully dodge an enemy attack. This gives you more time to counterattack or go for another dodge if you’re being swarmed. It’s especially useful when you’re finding yourself low on health and in need of an opening to flee. Even if you don’t want to invest in more Raven Skills, we highly recommend you put some points into getting this one.

Counter Roll finds itself in second place but only by a hair. This fantastic skill can be found by branching down from Heavy Dual Wield (Bear Skills tree). By acquiring it, you can counter unblockable attacks by rolling behind your opponent. The problem is that some of these powerful enemy attacks may still hit you even when you use this skill successfully. Still, it’s a great way to invest your points.

Finally, Guided Arrow lets you control Predator Bow shots. You can grab this skill by moving down from where you got Brush With Death.

Wolf Skills (Blue)

The Wolf Skills tree is all about increasing your survivability and the effectiveness of your ranged attacks. There aren’t many exciting abilities here, admittedly, but the best ones can be quite complementary to any type of build.

For starters, you’ll definitely want to pick up Hunter Bow Combo. This skill can be found by going through the north-east path from the skill tree starting point. It enables you to draw your next arrow a lot quicker when you time your shots with a Hunter Bow. To accomplish this, you need to release your arrow as soon as your bowstring is fully pulled.

Finally, Battleground Bolt is quite fun and devastating. You can pick it up by heading south-east from the start of the skill tree. This skill will allow you to pick up enemy weapons from the ground and chuck them back at them for big damage.

Honourable mentions for this skill tree are Charged Shot for bigger ranged damage and Sprint Attack that allows you to take a swipe at enemies while you dash.

And this concludes our guide to the best skills in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. One thing to remember is that you can change your build at any time without the need to spend resources so you can experiment with builds until your heart’s content.
