Guide to ‘Blitz mode’ in Marvel Strike Force

Marvel Strike Force: Blitz Mode Guide for Beginners.

MSF’s Blitz game mode represents an entertaining “little” tournament ladder you can climb for between 24 and 72 hours, depending on the event particulars.

The golden rule is the more characters you have, the better off you’ll be in Blitz. A squad of 5 toons can fight, and then there’s a cool-down time where you can either wait 2 hours or expend Blitz energy to fight that squad again. Therefore, the more teams you have, the more rounds you can complete without exhausting all of your energy.

The game mode gets the most of the players’ reactions, so let’s deep dive into it and scour through its details.

What is Blitz?

Blitz is a tournament battle style mode in Marvel Strike Force, similar to the Arena mode. As part of Marvel Strike Force’s Blitz, you engage in numerous encounters with various teams to accrue as many blitz points as possible. Because you compete against other players’ Blitz teams, we can classify Blitz as PvP. However, unlike in the Arena mode, in Blitz, your victory results in winning Blitz points rather than rank advancement.

Blitz events take place a few times a week; depending on the event, their typical duration is one to three days. For example, red Star Blitz and Premium Orb Blitz are held every Monday. While two more Blitzes, where you can farm specific characters’ shards, are often scheduled for the rest of the week.

Following their introduction, some new characters can only be acquired through Blitz. Therefore it’s crucial to participate in each one because there’s no way to know if you’ll be able to farm those characters later.

What is Blitz Charge?

Every hero has their own blitz energy that is available for use in blitz battles. This implies that if you utilize 5 heroes in 1 team, the remaining heroes on your roster can be used in different teams, regardless of their strength or function. Every two hours, all of your heroes’ blitz energy refills. However, even if all of your blitz energy is expended, you can still employ blitz charges in place of blitz energy for subsequent battles.

The first three battles with blitz charges cost five blitz charges for each hero for a total of twenty-five per team. While the second three battles cost ten charges per hero for a total of fifty blitz charges. Every set of three blitz battles will cost you twice the blitz charge for the previous set.

Blitz charges can be acquired through daily objectives rewards and Medical Supply Run challenges, which are accessible on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Of course, Power Cores are always an option if you run out of blitz charges.

What are the Blitz Rewards in Marvel Strike Force?

Each Blitz event gives two different rewards: one is ranking incentives, and the other is milestone rewards.

As part of the ranking incentive, players receive better loot that relies on the player’s position compared to other players on the server. On the other hand, completing Milestones results in different in-game resources as rewards, such as Blitz Orb Fragments, Blitz Credits, Gold, Character Shards, Red Star Orb Fragments, and Premium Orb Fragments.

The best tip for any player, especially beginners, is to max out on the weekly Orb Assault Blitz event. Such a course of action will allow you to get more Premium Orbs, essentially increasing the number of available characters in your roster.

What is Blitz Store?

The blitz store can be particularly challenging for newcomers to navigate. On the Blitz Store, you can use your Blitz Credits and Blitz Orb Fragments to buy orbs, Alliance War enhancements, and character shards. Unfortunately, you will not have the “money” to redeem all you want. So instead, make sure whatever you do keeps you engaged and makes the game enjoyable for you.

If you decide to buy character shards, keep in mind that the average trading price is 500 Blitz Credits for 5 Hero shards and 400 Blitz Credits for 5 Minion shards.

Best Team to conquer Blitz mode

We suggest having as many teams as possible for Blitz, since more compositions equal more free fights and points. At first, you could group characters around 1 protector and 1 controller. Then, after you acquire more Heroes, you should put together teams based on specific synergies.

Here are 3 team suggestions that will get you started and be a nightmare to most opponents while having fun in the game:

  1. Kree Minions: Given that Nick Fury needs Kree Minions to unlock, you will either be working on this team or have already assembled a good squad. The consistent healing and ability energy make this team almost a sure win, even on auto.
  2. Nick Fury and the SHIELD Minions: Even without Fury, switching him out for SHIELD Operative alongside Troopers can still result in a fantastic blitz team.
  3. Brotherhood/X-Men/Mutant combo: You can use Wolverine and Magneto as substitutes while placing Pyro and Mystique as far away from Juggernaut as possible.

Your ability to grind is everything in the Blitz game mode. Hopefully, those tips above will give you the essentials.
